This section provides additional details for Illinois residents in compliance with the Illinois Personal Information Protection Act (815 ILCS 530/) (“PIPA”).
Under PIPA, “Personal Information” includes an individual’s first name or first initial and last name in combination with other identifiers such as a Social Security number or Driver’s License number, when not encrypted or redacted. The information we collect as part of your driver application may fall under this definition.
In the event of a “breach of the security of the system data,” meaning the unauthorized acquisition of computerized data that compromises the security, confidentiality, or integrity of your Personal Information, we will provide notification to affected Illinois residents at no charge and without unreasonable delay. Notification may be delayed if requested in writing by a law enforcement agency to not impede a criminal investigation. We will provide notice as soon as it no longer interferes with the investigation.
